Kevin Simpson Moves to Vice-President and General Manager Role...

Plus, Other Big Things Going on at MEE!

This is a BIG YEAR. BIG, BIG, BIG YEAR! Modesto Executive Electric is celebrating our 30th year in business! Sometimes I can't believe that! It has been quite a ride and everything has come to this point on this work journey, and I am grateful for all of the customers that have stuck with us, for the good people that work with us, and for the continued support in the Modesto, CA community. We're going through some fantastic changes currently, and all are GREAT changes that will ensure we thrive in the coming decades.

Our company is going to be doing a lot of evolving now that I have been able to take hold of a vision that I wanted to create for MEE for quite a good while now. And, that vision can come to life!

So here's what we've got going on:

Kevin Simpson, our trusted GM since 2013, is now responsible at the Vice President level. He handles project delivery from the early planning stages through project completion, ensuring our high safety and quality expectations are met, while leading and growing a strong team, and he acts as our Lead Safety Manager.

And, there are some personal things that have to be mentioned here as well. If you follow this blog, you may have noticed that my last name has changed to Simpson. No, you're not crazy. My last name changed to Simpson because Kevin and I tied the knot! He and I have been serious with each other for some time now, and recently were able to become partners in life, too! We had a very small wedding and celebration with our very close family and friends.

Our business and life principles have allowed us to join together and set a vision for ourselves and for Modesto Executive Electric which makes me beyond ecstatic!

Here's the thing about being a business owner and how it all weaves into your personal life; while we feel that they're two separate things, the reality is that they're not. And, when you find someone that holds the same vision in the same industry, that's powerful!

The way that Kevin portrayed himself in business is probably one of the biggest reasons that he and I ended up getting along famously! This has allowed us to not only work together but to also become partners in our personal lives. OK, truth told, this is not the ONLY reason (obviously) but having similar visions as to how to make MEE thrive allowed us to take that energy and harness it. We match on so many levels, and Kevin and I see a very simple vision as to how we can create MEE in the coming decades. We are choosing to do amazing work (projects being managed with tact and honesty), we choose to treat our customers with the utmost respect and treat our employees with absolute kindness and respect as well. We know that a healthy, strong work culture that makes people happy is imperative to success. While it sounds insanely simple, and it is, the point though is that these simple principles can be a lost art sometimes and we want to ensure that isn't the case for MEE.

SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT US:

You can catch Kevin and I riding our Harley or heading out and going camping. We love being outdoors and want to catch as much of this life that we can. We bring this into our work culture as well so that we can all enjoy the hard work as much as we can free time.
